About the UCO PGA/PGM™ Program
The Professional
Golf Management (PGM) program in the College of Business
Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma is one
of only 19 programs accredited by The Professional Golfer's
Association (PGA) of America. This
four-and-one-half year college
curriculum for aspiring PGA
Professionals consists of two
major components: A Bachelor of Business Administration
(B.B.A.) degree in Management with a concentration in
Professional Golf Management and the PGA of America’s
Professional Golf Management Program (PGA/PGM).
The UCO PGA/PGM™
program provides students
the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills
necessary for success in the golf industry through extensive
classroom studies, internship experiences, a student
association and a player development program. The goal of
the PGA/PGM™
Program at the University of Central Oklahoma is to
produce a graduate who meets the qualifications to be a PGA
member and has a thorough background in managing golf
facilities and related organizations, business and personnel
management, tournament operations and player development,
restaurant and hospitality management, horticulture and
turfgrass aptitude, and recreation. UCO administrators,
