Bryan Moore
Bryan
joined the UCO MBA Program with 20 years of experience in
information technology. He
earned his undergraduate degree in computer science from UCO in
1992. Bryan scored a 640
on the GMAT, has a 4.0 GPA, and has been on the President’s
Honor Roll for the duration of the MBA program. He was awarded
two MBA tuition waivers, two graduate college tuition waivers,
and is a member of Delta Mu Delta.
His team won this semester’s Business Strategy Game
competition. Bryan has enjoyed the MBA experience at UCO,
specifically the importance placed on research, critical
thinking, and creativity.
He is
currently the Finance Systems Director for the Oklahoma
Department of Human Services and looks forward to using his MBA
in the pursuit of a CIO position. Bryan is married and has two
daughters, ages 2.5 and 6. He looks forward to spending more
time with his family upon graduation.
Eric Rickwalt The
College of Business Administration is pleased to announce Eric
Rickwalt as the Outstanding MBA Student for the Fall 2007
graduating MBA class. During his time at UCO, he has maintained a 4.0 GPA and received over $1,400 from numerous scholarships and merit awards. In addition to
his academic success, he believes it is important to be
committed to the betterment of his
community. His wife teaches at a low-income elementary
school which enables the Rickwalts to identify financially
struggling families and gift them with provisions for their
children. These provisions have ranged from items such as
food and clothing to school supplies and recreational equipment.
His academic ambitions have also translated themselves in
his professional endeavors. When he started the MBA program at UCO,
he was working at a small CPA firm, accounting for companies with monthly cash flows in the $5,000 to $30,000 range. However, recently,
he successfully competed against 50 other applicants and was selected to work in OG&E’s treasury, where
he is responsible for 10 to 20 million dollars in weekly cash flows.
Tony Miller
Please join the College of Business Administration in congratulating Tony Miller who was chosen by the graduate faculty and CBA administration as the outstanding MBA student for the Spring 2007 semester. Tony graduated from the MBA Program this Spring. He began his career at UCO in 1995 earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting. In February 1997, he received his CPA certificate after passing the exam on his first attempt. Tony began the MBA Program in the Fall of 2005, and has maintained a 4.0 GPA in all graduate work. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Oklahoma City-County Health Department. When Tony is not busy with academic or professional endeavors, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
Warren Churchill
The UCO College of Business Administration is pleased to recognize Warren Churchill as the 2005-2006 Outstanding MBA Student. Warren's current grade point average is a 4.0, and he will graduate with his UCO MBA in the Summer of 2006. In addition to Warren's scholastic achievements, Warren also enjoys spending time with his 2 children both born during his graduate studies. Upon completion of this MBA, Warren will continue to excel in the healthcare industry while volunteering time to financial literacy education, and working with the alumni of UCO.
Lisa Trotter
The 2004-05 recipient of this award returned to school 10 years after graduating with a bachelor degree in Finance from UCO. She is committed to spending time with family, focusing on her health, and pursuing her MBA. It is with great pleasure to honor Ms. Lisa Trotter with the Outstanding MBA Student Award for her MBA scholastic achievement and overall contribution to the academic life of the College of Business Administration.
Robert Kaiser
The 2003-04 recipient of this award returned after 30 years to complete his MBA after beginning the program in 1972. A successful career in business lay behind me and the opportunity to learn for the sake of learning has been taking place for the last two years. The knowledge I have used over the years to run a 300 person manufacturing force, direct an 8 person sales force or develop new products and bring them to market is being taught in the program. I have a 3.78 GPA but the honor, and the objective is in the learning.
Beth Adele Waddelow
Ms. Waddelow graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music/Business Minor and joined our MBA Program as a full-time student and Graduate Assistant for the Department of Marketing. She maintains a 4.0 graduate GPA, serves as Treasurer and Webmaster for the Collegiate Marketing Association, and was inducted into Delta Mu Delta this semester. She recently presented an academic paper at a national conference in Las Vegas and is currently a marketing consultant for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic as well as a vocal instructor, professional performer, and advisor for the Chopin Society Board. Her career interests include becoming a fine arts organization executive, pursuing music performance, and continuing her business academia.
This is the first year for the Outstanding MBA Student Award. It is the most prestigious award a current MBA student can receive because the recipient must be nominated by our MBA faculty and then selected by the College of Business Administration based on a profile submitted by the nominees. The nominees must have earned a minimum of 21 graduate credit hours and have an outstanding graduate GPA, character, and potential as well as be actively involved with the University of Central Oklahoma, the College of Business Administration, and the community.
