Title: President’s Honor Roll -
Undergraduate |
Policy No. 6.7 |
|
Category:
Registration/Records
|
Effective: Fall 2004 |
Policy Statement:
Undergraduate students who successfully complete 12 or more hours of regularly
graded (A, B, C) residence credit during a fall or spring semester are
eligible to have their names listed on the President’s Honor Roll, provided
they pass all courses and have no grade below “A.” The student’s semester
record must have no marks of “I,” “F,” or “U.” Correspondence credit will not
be calculated in this determination.
Background: Prior to
this policy UCO awarded the President’s Honor Roll for fall, spring, and
summer. Most schools do not award honors during the summer, reserving that
distinction for fall and spring only. Grades of “S” and “P” are not
computed in the student’s semester grade point average and will not be
considered toward the number of hours required for honor roll consideration.
This policy eliminates honor rolls for the summer.
Purpose: Recognize
outstanding student performance.
Implementation Date:
Fall 2004
Related Procedures: A
notation regarding the honor roll achievement will appear on the student’s
transcript. An announcement listing those students making the honor roll may
also be sent to area newspapers by University Relations.
