COURSE OUTLINE:

         List the topics to be covered in a logical sequence.  These may include chapter numbers and titles from a representative text, date(s) the topics are to be covered, chapters or topics covered on exams, guest speakers, etc.

         For lab courses provide titles or descriptions of laboratory exercises included in the course, lab projects, etc.

 COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION:

I.          Exams (List the number of exams and contribution to the final grade.)

II.         Quizzes

III.       Homework Assignments

IV.       Term/Research Paper

V.        Class Participation

VI.       Comprehensive Final Exam

VII.    Additional information needed for a specific section of this course is included in the policy on syllabus requirements, Policy #2.2.

Each course is not required to use all of the above evaluation items or may use other methods of evaluation.  However, course syllabi should include the relative importance of each requirement or method of evaluation, and its contribution to the final grade.  Students should be able to determine their grade at various times during the course.
