University Core Implementation

There are several things that you should know as your department begins the process:

  1. All courses to be considered must be submitted on the Request for Inclusion Form

  2. If you need the description of the Core or other information you can find it at the URL address:  http://bronze.ucok.edu/aapolicy/CoreCurriculumdocuments.htm

  3. The timeline for inclusion in the Core will be as follows:

    1. First year

                                                              i.      December 1, 2003 - Deadline for submission to Office of Academic Affairs

                                                             ii.      Spring 2004 – Review by Academic Affairs Council

                                                            iii.      Fall 2005 – Effective semester for approved courses

    1. Second year

                                                               i.      November 1, 2004 – Deadline for submission to Office of Academic Affairs

                                                             ii.      Fall 2004 – Review by Academic Affairs Council

                                                            iii.      Fall 2005 – Effective semester for approved courses
