The Information and Operations Management
program at the University of Central Oklahoma is relatively
new.
The mission of the program is to create
and maintain a dynamic learning environment where students
develop a personal lifelong learning strategy to understand
and apply appropriate models and technology to improve business
processes; to integrate the results of applied research and
instructional development into the educational process; to
provide professional expertise and service to our business
community; additionally, to provide our Management Information
Systems (MIS) and Operations Management and Analysis (OMA)
students with sufficient knowledge and current technology
and operations concepts to qualify them for selected entry-level
positions in a global employment market.
The program integrates the two options of
Management Information Systems (MIS) and Operations Management
and Analysis (OMA), exploiting the synergy that exists between
operations and information.
